At the moment, she is continuing her studies as a student of the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany (HMDK - Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst), in the class of the renowned prof. Cornelis Witthoefft.

At the end of her education at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, she returned to Zagreb to graduate from prof. Dunja Vejzović's class, as one of the best singing students in her generation.

Vienna State Opera

In the fifth year of her academic studies, she moved to Vienna, the european and world capital of culture, to attend the University of Music and Performing Arts (MDW). She decided to further persevere and made a goal to establish herself on the biggest opera stages. The Vienna State Opera, where she enjoyed listening to the biggest stars of the art, contributed to that decision.

She had her first stage experience at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, where in 2017 she sang the role of Chocholka in the opera The Cunning Little Vixen, which was followed by the role of Dorabella in the opera Cosí fan tutte in 2018. Those were the experiences that defined the stage performace as her calling.

Musical development

During her studies, she participated in numerous projects, performed at concerts and collaborated with various artists, who influenced her musical development.

After two years of musical high school, she was given the chance to be in the class of the eminent prof. Dunja Vejzović by enrolling in the University of Zagreb Academy of Music, which made her the youngest student in the singing department.

Music school

As the years passed, she continued to pursue singing more seriously. At the music school, she started taking singing lessons and very quickly achieved success at numerous national and international competitions, winning first prizes.

Etno music

In addition to classical singing, Lana has been involved in ethno singing for a period of five years. By singing two different styles, she showed that musicians should not limit themselves in terms of different genres, because the beauty of art itself lies in the grandiosity of its vastness.

A few years later, her love for violin was replaced by passion for singing. Even she herself is not sure when exactly did it happened, but she believes she discovered the beauty of vocal expression in elementary school, when she was chosen as a soloist in the choir.

My first violin

Her first love was the violin, which she played professionally for ten years.

My childhood

Lana Maletić was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She entered the world of music very early, at the age of five.
